Featured on Joy News: Breaking the Curse

We are honored to have our work featured on Joy News through The Anass Sabit Report documentary, Breaking the Curse.

The documentary follows XO World Project Foundation's Pediatric Surgical Medical Mission in Ghana while exploring a deeper issue affecting many children in underserved communities: the stigma, misconceptions, and social barriers surrounding untreated congenital conditions and deformities.

While medical treatment is a critical part of the solution, Breaking the Curse highlights the human stories behind the surgeries—the families seeking hope, the children longing for acceptance, and the communities learning that these conditions are treatable and should never define a person's future.

For XO World Project Foundation, this recognition is about more than media coverage. It represents an opportunity to bring greater awareness to the healthcare challenges facing vulnerable communities and the importance of creating sustainable solutions that extend beyond a single mission.

Through medical training, local partnerships, healthcare system strengthening, and access to specialized surgical care, we work to ensure that the impact continues long after patients leave the operating room.

We are grateful to Joy News and journalist Anass Sabit for sharing these powerful stories and helping amplify the voices of the children, families, and healthcare professionals involved.

The documentary also features insights from our CEO and Co-Founder, Colleen Brennan, and Co-Founder and Head Surgeon, Dr. Stephanie Cohen Walsh, whose leadership continues to guide our mission of bringing hope, healing, and opportunity to underserved communities around the world.

Help Us Reach More Children in Need

Every child deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of where they are born or the challenges they face. Through our Pediatric Surgical Medical Missions, we provide life-changing care to children who would otherwise have little or no access to specialized treatment.

But the need is far greater than what one mission can accomplish.

Your support helps fund future medical missions, surgical supplies, medical training, equipment, and sustainable healthcare initiatives that continue improving lives long after our teams return home.

Together, we can bring hope, healing, and opportunity to more children and families in underserved communities.
